  • A 2023 Vave help article claimed a Curaçao licence (no number given), and the Dutch regulator’s decision names Chestoption, a Costa Rican company, as the operator.
  • Vave doesn’t name a licence or an operating company anywhere on its site. Its only footer badge is from the Crypto Gambling Foundation, an industry group — not a regulator.
  • The Dutch regulator fined its operator €3,082,000 in June 2026 for serving Dutch players without a licence and without age checks, after €840,000 in earlier penalty payments.
  • Australia’s regulator (ACMA) blocked Vave in May 2023.
  • Vave’s terms say VPN use isn’t restricted, and its block page suggests switching VPN server. Playing from a blocked country can still cost you your winnings — we don’t recommend it.
